Resilient and Sustainable Energy Infrastructure

چکیده
Background: Critical infrastructure resilience and sustainability are key components of both the 2015 Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, as well Sustainable Development Goals (Panda & Ramos, 2020). The recent passing 2021 Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill in Australia, coupled with lack a governing document at state level Tasmania, necessitates review to uncover governance settings, which will aide increasing energy infrastructures Tasmania.
Methods/Design: Following PRISMA-P (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Meta-Analysis Protocols), focus on scholarly sources that address infrastructures. An initial deductive data extraction template has been created help structure from included studies. In addition secondary evidence be sought regarding interruptions infrastructures; policy problems solutions; definitions. Should other themes emerge, updated.
Discussion: Findings this contribute more complete understanding how may increased via deeper knowledge their settings. Tasmanian policy-makers, practitioners, industry specialists, researchers use research inform enhance decision-making important topic.

Resilient Infrastructure
A major challenge in designing resilient infrastructure is to meet the needs of sustainable development (Kennedy & Corfee-Morlot, 2013). Sustainable development requires a high degree of energy efficiency. Municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), in particular, have the potential to be much more sustainable. In the U.S., 3 – 4% of the total energy consumed is dedicated to WWTPs and drinki...
متن کاملResilient infrastructure for network security
Present day network security mechanisms are based on preventing attacks and responding to them as they occur. In the time before a response is implemented the attack is generally free to damage the system. Since responses are usually human driven, this time is long and the damage can be large. One way to minimise this damage is to create “resilient infrastructure”. This is infrastructure that a...
متن کاملSustainable Hazard Mitigation: Exploring the Importance of Green Infrastructure in Building Disaster Resilient Communities
Natural disasters continue to plague the United States, undermining the nation’s ability to build disaster resilient communities. Although structural and non-structural mitigation measures are currently in place to lessen the impact natural disasters have on society, little attention has been given to the construction of green infrastructure as a sustainable hazard mitigation strategy. The purp...

the past decade has seen an unprece dented explosion of data, tools and databank resources in the biologi cal sciences, most of which can be freely accessed by researchers over the internet. a 2009 survey listed 1,230 molecular and cell biology databases that were avail able online (cochrane & galperin, 2010). a recent review of the data generated by plant biologists in the past 10 years ill...
متن کاملSustainable Infrastructure Material Design
Traditionally, the foremost concern among transportation engineers has been the safety and reliability of major infrastructure components. Until recently, sustainability has not been included in most infrastructure systems on any level. However, the engineering community, along with society as a whole, is realizing the importance of sustainability-oriented infrastructure systems. Yet incorporat...
